Urgent Flood Shelter Pakistan
Paypal Pakistan are supporting aid efforts in the aftermath of heavy monsoon rains and flash flooding in Pakistan. 700 people have been reported to have lost their lives as a result, and hundreds more have been injured.
Homes and buildings have also been destroyed amid the flooding, and many farmers in the area have lost their livelihoods as the flooding has devastated farms and livestock.
Affected communities are also having difficulty accessing clean drinking water and are at risk of contracted water-borne diseases.
There are predictions of floods worsening in the coming days and weeks due to heavy rains.
Paypal Pakistan are on the ground
Paypal Pakistan already have a presence in Quetta Swat and Dera Ghazi khan, the provincial capital. Our emergency teams are already working in local communities to establish how best to support affected families, who urgently need food, shelter, bedding and hygiene items.
Our plans include providing cash grants to 3,000 families in 3 regions of Balochistan, which they can use as they wish to cover their most essential needs.
Our teams are also working with the local government to support relief efforts.
